I support children and their families from the first day of life until adulthood – with time, attention, and a listening ear for everything that matters to you. It is important to me that you feel well cared for and that together we create a trusting path for your child's development and health.
In addition to general pediatric and adolescent medicine, I also offer advice in travel and tropical medicine.
As a mother of five children and experienced traveler, I know the special requirements of traveling with children from my own experience - and I support you in being well prepared and safe on your journey.
Since summer 2025, I have been continuing Dr. Shetty's practice and am very happy to be able to support the families here in the long term.

General pediatric and adolescent medicine

Vaccination advice & vaccinations
Following the recommendations of the STIKO (Standing Committee on Vaccination) as well as individual travel vaccinations. I also vaccinate the parents and grandparents.

The deadline for submitting appointments is usually 30 minutes before the end of consultation hours.
Please bring your child's health insurance card, yellow health record booklet, vaccination record, and a small blanket or mat to initial appointments and check-ups. Please inform us by email as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment.

Dr. med. Ariane Mohmand
Specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine
I am a specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. From 1998 to 2006 I studied human medicine at Humboldt University in Berlin and received my doctorate in 2008.
I completed my specialist training in pediatrics from 2006 to 2021, including placements at the Bad Saarow Clinic, the Vivantes Friedrichshain Clinic, the Evangelical Forest Hospital Spandau, and a pediatric practice at Traveplatz. In 2021, I received my board certification as a specialist in pediatrics and adolescent medicine. Since 2025, I have been practicing as a pediatrician in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
I am certified in tropical medicine (additional qualification for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases from tropical regions) and a member of the German Society for Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, the Professional Association of Pediatricians and Adolescent Physicians, and the German Society for Tropical Medicine.

Doctor in residency
I am a resident physician (specialist in general medicine) at the pediatric practice at Traveplatz. I studied human medicine in Göttingen from 2016 to 2023. In 2025, I received my doctorate with a dissertation on the "Significance of liver biopsy in clarifying the etiology of unexplained chronic liver enzyme elevation," which was published in the JGH Open – Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Since 2026 I have been in further education and am currently qualifying in Manual Medicine (diagnosis and treatment of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system).
