15. Payment processing in our practice


For cashless payment of invoices or services paid for by patients themselves, our practice uses the payment service provider SumUp Payments Limited, Block 8, Harcourt Centre, Charlotte Way, Dublin 2, Ireland.


When card payments are made, the data required for payment processing (e.g. payment amount, payment method and technical transaction data) is transmitted to the payment service provider. Processing takes place solely for the purpose of carrying out the payment transaction.


The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract) and, where applicable, Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (compliance with statutory retention obligations).
